Educational Action Challenging Homophobia (EACH)
EACH is the award-winning charity for young people and adults affected by homophobia. EACH's freephone 0808 1000 143 number provides a confidential homophobic incident reporting service for everyone who lives, works or travels across the West of England. EACH offers a casework service covering the Bristol and South Gloucestershire area providing one-to-one support to individuals who have been, or continue to be, the target of homophobic incidents or crime. The Gender Identity, Research and Education Society - (GIRES)
Promotes and communicates research: provides information and education to those who can improve the lives of people affected by gender identity conditions. It develops good practice guidelines, education programmes and literature, all specially tailored for each of the groups that it aims to influence. The Gender Trust
The Gender Trust is the only Registered Charity in the UK which specifically helps adults who are Transsexual, Gender Dysphoric or Transgenderist: i.e. those who seek to adjust their lives to live as women or men, or to come to terms with their situation despite their genetic background. The GT Information Line - 07000 790347 - is answered by Trust staff and volunteers who have access to a wide range of information and can offer a listening ear to those who need to talk in confidence.
GLOSCATS - Social Support Group

Gloucestershire Constabulary
The Diversity Unit is based at Police Headquarters in the Community Partnership Department. The Diversity Unit manages four Transgender Liaison officers to develop positive methods of communicating and engaging with our Transgender communities in order to provide an appropriate policing response and to ensure that we consider the needs of the communities in developing our policing plans and services. Independent Complaints Advocacy Service (ICAS)
A national statutory advocacy service providing help and support for those raising formal complaints about their NHS care and treatment, including hospitals, GPs and community health services, dentists, pharmacists and opticians. ICAS produces self-help information in standard or easy-read formats and other languages. An advocate can meet you in a place where you feel comfortable, help you write letters, support you at meetings, help you explore your options and act on your direction. Support for children/teenagers with gender identity issues, their families and carers. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans Staff Support Network for Health and Social Care Workers in Cornwall
The aims of this network are to promote issues faced by LGBT staff, visitors and service users, contribute to the development of the Trust Equality and Diversity strategy, work with Human Resources and service delivery representatives to understand the importance of relevant legislation, guidance and advice, help eliminate real or perceived barriers to the recruitment, retention and career development, and giving staff (and potential staff) and service users the confidence to be open about their sexuality or gender identity if they want to be. The Looking Glass Society is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting understanding and acceptance of Transsexual/Gender Dysphoric people. Swindon Transgender Group
This group meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month between 19:30 and 22:30 at The Roughmoor Club, Swindon. There is discrete private parking, light refreshment and changing facilities. There is also an opportunity for a restaurant meal after the meetings for those interested. The group extends a warm welcome to all transgendered and their family and friends.
