How long will it take my organisation to achieve The Standard?

Your organisation will be given one month to complete the self assessment. Once it is complete, a member of the ESW Team will come and discuss the results and support you in creating an Equality Action Plan.

From this point, your organisation will have six months to compile its portfolio of evidence. At the end of the six month period a member of the ESW Team will assess the final portfolio before it is sent for external verification. This assessment process will take no more than three months and will also include informal interviews with other members of staff, chosen at random.

Depending on your organisations starting point, you can expect to achieve The Standard in approximately 10 - 12 month. These timescales are approximate, but can be flexible based on the needs and resources of your organisation.
