South West Race Equality Forum
The South West Race Equality Forum is a forum comprised of individuals and representatives of organisations committed to race equality within the South West region. More details can be found in our Terms of Reference which are available here: Terms of Reference
The Forum will strive to achieve the aims and objectives laid out in the Terms of Reference, including:
- generating a greater awareness of race equality issues;
- embedding a positive race equality perspective into policy and strategy;
- tackling all race discrimination, not only in the workplace, but also within society generally, and;
- serving as a voice for the race equality sector when necessary.
The Forum will achieve its aims and objectives through activities including, but not limited to:
- participation in forums, meetings and events at local, regional, national and European level;
- liasing with stakeholders to identify and secure funding for the Forum and
- facilitating consultation on race equality with public and private sector bodies; and
- contributing a race equality perspective on strategies and documents.

The Forum meets as needed to discuss and agree joint action on important policy and campaigning issues. In addition, ESW keep members up to date with all the latest policy developments from local level to European developments.
