Age
Supported by Equality South West, the age network brings together individuals and organisations with an interest in improving the lives of younger and older people. Committed to progress on age equality, the network provides a channel to exchange information on age issues and events, work taking place in the region, and on equality issues more broadly.
The network comes together to work on specific campaigns and projects. It does not hold regular meetings as younger people in the network felt that they would not be able to regularly attend and thus would not be the most appropriate way for them to participate.
The Age network held an event on Challenging a Lifetime of Discrimination! for older and younger people in October 2005.
Visit the South West Seniors' Network - a network of Older People's Forums in the region, providing a means of communication between forums, a focus for their interests and a channel for pursuing older people's issues with regional and national authorities.
