Vaisakhi Factsheet
Equality South West have produced a Fact Sheet on Vaisakhi. Vaisakhi, also spelled Baisakhi, is a Sikh Festival and is celebrated this year on the 13th April. It is the holiest date in the Sikh calendar for some 20 million Sikhs worldwide. It commemorates 1699, the year Sikhism was born as a collective faith. Antisemitic Incidents Report 2006: A report published by The Community Security Trust
The Community Security Trust has just published its report ANTISEMITIC INCIDENTS REPORT 2006. The report highlights that the CST recorded 594 antisemitic incidents in the UK in 2006. This is the highest annual total since the CST began recording antisemitic incidents in 1984, and is a 31 per cent rise from the 2005 figure of 455 incidents. She Who Disputes - Muslim Women Shape the Debate
This report produced by the Muslim Women's Network and the Women's National Commission challenges the stereotypes which exist about Muslim women as suppressed and unwilling to make their own choices in life. The women whose voices are recorded here spoke with passion and conviction about their desire to engage in decision-making processes both at the local and national levels and to fight for their Islamic rights. Religion or Belief and the Workplace (ACAS)
When the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations came into force, it became unlawful to discriminate against workers because of religion or similar belief. The regulations also cover providers of vocational training. This booklet describes the regulations and gives guidance on associated good employment practice.
