South West Migrant Workers Action Plan 2010 - 12

As part of tthe Regional Migrant Workers project, Equality South West worked with partners on the South West Migrant Workers Forum to develop a South West Migrant Workers Action Plan. The Action Plan coordinates activity around addressing the opportunities and challenges of migration in the south west atsub-national level, and provides a framework to support the activity of local organisations.

The Action Plan was officially launched at an event in Taunton on the 29th June, although work on the plan began in January 2010. Major achievements so far include the a highly successful set of capacity building workshops for migrant worker community groups, the development of links with the government's Migration Advisory Committee, and the completion of a 6 month research project on the under-employment of migrant workers.

The South West Migrant Workers Action Plan is now available to download - Action Plan (PDF) or Action Plan (Word).
