Lifting the Lid on Sexuality and Ageing - A report by "Gay and Grey" in Dorset, for older lesbian and gay people
This report represents the findings of a three-year action research project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, which explored the needs, experiences and aspirations of older lesbians and gay men in Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset between June 2003 and September 2006. This Partcipatory Action Research Project (PAR) was undertaken by a group of older volunteers, with the support of a project worker, employed by Help and Care, and by a senior lecturer at Bournemouth University.

Not Ready for the Scrap Heap: Looking for work after 50 - A report by Age Concern
This report from Age Concern details older people's experiences of accessing training and employment. A press release from Age Concern England said:
"Hundreds of thousands of older jjobseekers would be saving into an occupational pension if only they could find a job, according to Age Concern. The charity is calling on the Government to act urgently to help older jobseekers back into work so they can boost their quality of lide and make essentiasl retirement savings.
The warning comes as Age Concern launches its new report 'Not ready for the scrapheap: lookin for work after 50". New research published int he report shows that a lack of access to meaningful training, agesit attitudes, and not enough realistic advice and support, are just some of the reasons why almost a million over-50s who want to work cannot find a job".

Age Legislation October 06 - What does it mean in practice? - A guide produced by Age Concern Somerset
This guide aims to provide general guidance on the legal requirements of the Age Legislation Act as they are currently defined. It aims to help voluntary and Community organisations differentiate between what will now be a legal requirement and what is good practice. It will provide a tool for auditing HR policies already in place, provide a starting point for developing new ones, and for action planning.
